Pottery workshop for one | Intro to wheel throwing - £65.00

This 1.5 hour pottery session is perfect for anyone with any level of experience, whether your’e a complete beginner that wants to learn the basics or someone wanting to top up their skills.

If you’ve always wanted to try pottery but don’t want to commit to a lengthy course, then this is the perfect workshop for you.

In this 1-1 session, I will guide you through the basics of wheel-throwing, where you will create some beautiful and unique pieces of pottery.

At the end of the session, you will be able to pick four items that you have made that will then be trimmed, glazed and fired for you to collect around 4-6 weeks later.

What will I learn? I will teach you the basics of throwing on the potter's wheel, this includes the process of centering your clay, opening it up, pulling up the walls and shaping your piece.

What will I make? Usually a small pot, bud vase, bowl or trinket dish. As this is an introductory session, please don’t get frustrated if you don’t walk away with a perfect shape, pottery takes practice so relax and have fun with it.

What should I bringPlease wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, if possible make sure your nails are short and bring a bobble to tie your hair back.

Please note, this is a private 1-1 session held in my garden studio in Oxfordshire.
