Join me in the studio for a two-day workshop dedicated to the process of coil building. Over the course of two relaxed mornings, you’ll learn how to hand-build a vase using traditional coiling techniques — exploring both structure and form to create a one-of-a-kind vessel.

We’ll cover:

·       Designing your own form

·       Preparing and rolling coils for strong, even walls

·       Building up height and shaping curves

·       Techniques for creating balance in asymmetrical designs

·       Smoothing, refining, and finishing for a professional look

At the end of the workshop, you’ll leave behind one completed vase which will be fired in the studio kiln and ready to collect a few weeks later. Your vase will be unglazed, exposing the natural beauty and texture of the clay.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with a little clay experience — no prior knowledge needed. All tools, clay, and firing are included.
